About
Sunniva Ferri is a communications strategist and project manager. She advises NGOs, companies, and athletes on effectively communicating their messages, building strategic partnerships, and driving social change.
As the manager of elite basketball players Satou Sabally and Nyara Sabally , she develops branding strategies, strengthens their public presence, and advocates for the advancement of women’s basketball in Germany. Her work operates at the intersection of sports business, sustainability, and holistic brand development - with the goal of positioning athletes not just as players but as strong personalities with societal impact.
Her own journey as a former Bundesliga basketball player and youth national team member has given her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in professional sports. After her career ended prematurely due to injuries and mental strain, she specialized in sustainability, resilience, and social innovation. She completed a business degree focusing on intercultural communication (University of Waterloo, Canada) and further deepened her expertise with a Master’s in Sustainable and Social Entrepreneurship (M.Sc. Sustainable Entrepreneurship, University of Groningen).
Today, she combines strategic communication with sustainable entrepreneurship, developing projects at the intersection of sports, brand development, and social responsibility. Her goal is to create visibility and impact for those shaping new narratives - whether in sports, business, or the social and environmental sector.
